ABOUT MINI MOBILE CARE.

 

Even in the unlikely event of a breakdown in your MINI; your journey is guaranteed to continue − thanks to MINI Mobile Care, the free insurance cover from MINI that's valid throughout Europe. The mobility services offered by MINI Mobile Care extend above and beyond mere breakdown assistance and are available 24 hours a day.

All MINI owners whose cars – whether bought new or used – were first registered after 1 January 2006 are entitled to MINI Mobile Care coverage for 5 years from the date of first registration.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR FREE ACCIDENT & BREAKDOWN COVER.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU BREAK DOWN. The first thing to do in the event if a breakdown is to call the MINI Mobile Service hotline.

You’ll need to give your vehicle details, your precise location, the cause and results of the
breakdown (if known) and a phone number we can reach you on. MINI Mobile Service will
then take care of the rest.

2 Call charges vary according to national telephone operator.


REIMBURSEMENT OF COSTS.
We can only reimburse costs that are agreed in advance with MINI Mobile Service.

In most cases, the cost of MINI Mobile Care services is covered directly by us. Should you
nevertheless incur costs yourself, we will reimburse these as quickly as possible. To do so,
we need the original receipts or invoices for the service in question (e.g. tow company)
together with a copy of the invoice for the repair work.


Non-reimbursable costs
− Costs that would have occurred under normal circumstances, e.g. fuel costs, road tolls, etc.

− Additional hotel costs, e.g. for meals and mini-bar bills

− Any costs or losses incurred as a direct or indirect result of the breakdown, such as loss of
income, cancellation fees, missed engagements or events (e.g. tickets not used)

− Costs of repairs, replacement parts and other materials

DEFINITION OF A BREAKDOWN.
A breakdown is a malfunction in your vehicle that prevents you from continuing your journey.


ENTITLEMENT TO CLAIM MINI MOBILE CARE SERVICES.
MINI Mobile Care services can only be performed if the breakdown has not been caused by
the driver or external factors. Exception: in the event of a flat tyre, we will provide services of
the scope and extent described within the Roadside Assistance module above.


MINI Mobile Care services do not apply in case of:
− Scheduled servicing, product recalls or other technical procedures
− Accident, theft or vandalism and any resulting damage
− Damage brought about by deliberate or negligent behaviour
− Damage caused during driving events or practice sessions for such events, where the aim
is toreach the highest possible speed
− Damage attributed to the fitting of parts not been approved by the manufacturer or to
modifications carried out in a manner not been approved by the manufacturer

We recommend that your MINI Service Partner conducts all maintenance work for your MINI.
MINI Mobile Care services may not be provided if the designated inspections and
maintenance intervals have not been carried out in accordance with the MINI service and
quality standards and/or due to deficient inspections, maintenance work or other repairs
carried out by non-authorised service providers.


MINI MOBILE CARE SERVICES AFTER 5 YEARS.
To ensure that you and your MINI continue to receive optimal support in the event of a
breakdown beyond the first 5 years after initial registration, we recommend the MINI
XXXXXXXXXXXXX insurance policy – available from just € X.XX a year. Your MINI dealer
will be happy to assist you further.
